About Struisbaai

Struisbaai is a coastal fisherman's village close to the Southern-most Tip of Africa and proudly boasts the longest continuous stretch of white sand coastline in the Southern Hemisphere.

Enjoy a relaxing stroll along the beautiful Boardwalk that stretches from the Main Beach to the Harbour.  Lovely benches are situated along the boardwalk to take a breather and soak in the picturesque views.

The fishermen's cottages at Hotagterklip have been declared a national monument. They are often featured in the paintings of many South African artists. Most of the old cottages were allowed to fall into ruin, but have been expertly restored to their original condition.

Take a scenic trip futher down the road to the southern-most town on the African continent, L'Aghulhas, where you can visit the monument at the southern-most tip of Africa as well as the famous lighthouse.
